  1. The Bachelor's degree used to be the factor in which an individual would beat another individual in an interview.  In the 1980's and 90's many High school graduates would leave school and go straight into the work force.  This gave any individual with even the smallest college degree a great advantage over many people.  However, times have changed and more individuals are now going to to colleges to get their degree.  So now the Bachelor's wont work as that deciding factor, because so many individuals possess one.  Now to separate themselves out of the packed once again, college graduates must gain a masters to put themselves at the top of the pack.
  2. This article has made me think about my future college career.  I want to go to college to be a civil engineer and since this is a very skilled profession, a master's degree seems to be a must for my future.
  3. I would love to graduate college from the university of Kentucky with high honors and gain access to the deans list.  this would not only give me a sense of accomplishment, but would also put me ahead of many other individuals in job pursuits.

  5. What was known as higher education 20 years ago, is today known as standard education.  This means that the education that separated the smartest individuals from the others, is know of days seen as the required education to receive any descent job.  This in essence means that the job market is gaining more skilled individuals making the market sore.  However, this strive toward greater education hinders many individuals that don't have the economic means or the brains to achieve this goal.  This puts many in a bind and causes them to obtain a second rank job that doesn't pain very well but will higher them without a masters.
